Privacy policy
In short: this site sets no cookies and tracks no one. It only counts visits anonymously. The only personal data Fovir receives is what you choose to send by email.
Who is responsible
Fovir, opto-mechanical engineering, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (company being incorporated, represented by its founder Ismaël Ziane). Contact for any privacy question: ismael.ziane@fovirsystems.com.
What the site collects
- No cookies, no advertising or social trackers. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.
- Visit statistics: Vercel Web Analytics counts page views, the referring site, the country and the device type. It sets no cookie and stores no personal identifier: visits are recognised only through a hash that is reset every day.
- Contact form: the form does not send anything to a server. It opens your own email app with a pre-filled message; nothing leaves your device until you press send there.
-
Browser storage: one technical entry in session storage (
iz-loaded) so the loading screen is not shown twice during the same visit. It holds no personal data and is erased when you close the tab. - Hosting logs: like any web host, Vercel processes technical data needed to deliver the pages and protect them (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time). Fovir does not use these logs to identify visitors. See Vercel's privacy policy.
Emails you send
When you write to Fovir, we receive your name, email address and message, and your company and phone number if you give them. We use them only to answer you and, if a project follows, to work with you. Legal basis: your request and the steps before a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (art. 6(1)(f)). They are never sold, shared for marketing, or added to a mailing list.
Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request, and at most 3 years after our last exchange, unless a contract or the law requires longer.
Where data goes
Hosting (Vercel) and email (Google, Gmail) are run by providers based in the United States, which may process data outside your country. These transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
Under the EU and UK GDPR and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to ismael.ziane@fovirsystems.com; we answer within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority (for example the CNIL in France or the ICO in the UK).
